Up and Coming Destinations for Weddings

One of the common struggles we see couples experience in the beginning stages of planning a destination wedding or vow renewal is deciding on which destination is the best fit as a couple, and for the guests. Most often, couples narrow their destination down to 2-3 before they contact us, and our Concierges who specialize in many destinations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean are able to easily provide information that help couples settle on their final decision.

Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa

Grand Palladium Vallarta in Punta Mita, Mexico

Punta Mita

Weclome to Banderas Bay on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, and all Punta Mita has to offer as the tiny small beachfront fishing village it is. Surrounded on three sides by turquoise waters, Punta Mita is becoming quite popular for its upscale homes, surfing, private beaches, and golf courses. According to Forbes, it’s a secret retreat for the world’s top tech billionaires, and remains so exclusive that even the locals don’t know how close they are living to famous execs. We love that this destination, the unique culture, and the locals don’t change a beat as it becomes a trendy place to be for weddings, vow renewals, and honeymoons.

Lindsey, Funjet Vacation’s expert on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, explains the unique features of hotels located in this region, “Grand Palladium Vallarta has surf lessons available, a small little zoo on property, as well as a waterpark for littles, making it a great option for families. There’s a natural salt water pool protected by rocks for couples looking for a romantic spot to watch the sunrise or sunset, or take amazing engagement, wedding or honeymoon photos.”

The studio embraces the tropical environment, and will have you leaving refreshed, rejuvenated, and a part of international yogi tribe. Stop by the Mayan ruins for a daytrip, and carve out time to spend at one of Mexico’s most famous beaches known for its magnificent white powder sand, Playa Paraiso. This destination has grown in popularity for vacationers staying in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Riviera Maya for the perfect day trip, and we are forecasting the unique beauty of the region is now going to appeal to couples looking for a destination and/or wedding venue that their guests have not experienced before.

There are endless tour and excursion options to host and entertain wedding guests, from exploration at the spectacular natural El Garrafón Aquatic Park where you can see the Lighthouse, the Mayan temple to Ixchel, the Sculpture Garden, and amazing sunrises and sunsets to La Tortugranja (The Turtle Farm), a government-funded area to care for the species and eggs when they come to the island’s beaches.
